What building codes are enforced by the City of Norton?
The City of Norton enforces the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC) which adopts and amends the International Code Council’s model codes. On March 1, 2011 the Virginia General Assembly adopted the 2009 version of the VUSBC with a one-year transition period in which applicants can choose between the 2006 or 2009 version of the VUSBC.
