Animal Control
A full-time animal control officer, who is also a certified law enforcement officer, provides coverage for calls regarding animal problems within the City of Norton. Primarily, the animal control officer answers calls involving stray, at-large, injured, or neglected animals. However, these calls at times can also include wild or exotic animals. In addition, this officer also handles humane investigations, bite reports, license violations, and any other animal related call.

Other duties performed by this officer include patrol of the City Parks and Recreation areas, enforcement of City ordinances and State laws pertaining to Game and Fish, all litter laws, and oversees the community service program for the department.
