A Joint Effort

Three departments handle the finance and taxation operations of the city:

• Commissioner of Revenue
• Finance Department
• Treasurer's Office

Functions

The city maintains a complete and comprehensive automated financial software system that includes:

• Accounts payable
• Budgeting
• Financial statement preparation
• General ledger
• Payroll
• Tax billing
• Utility billing

In addition, the city provides financial services to the Norton City Schools and the Norton Department of Social Services.
